35mm Film: Dumbo

At the end of the summer of last year a group of family members and I spent the day at Dumbo. For this day out I took Esther, my Canon A-1 film camera.

I’m not very family oriented, I’m not real close to any of my family members besides my two siblings and parents. So, naturally, I tried to direct why this particular day stood out in my mind so much.

I think because it was the first time where we just walked and did whatever we stumbled upon. The Time Out Market was there so we ate. There’s an ice-cream place by there so we ate ice-cream. The carousel was there so we went.

It was sunny, blue sky and warm weather. I bought twenty tickets to get on the carousel and while I was on it there was this beautiful little girl sitting on the horse in front of me. I snapped a couple of pictures. When I got the film back I immediately fell in love with those shots of her.
